Christmas Eve Day playground visit

Today I tried to get Juni to take a nap after lunch, but after an hour without a wink of sleep I decided it was time to take her outside. She really needs her physical play time--and outdoors is best when possible. Luckily today is another not-too-cold day in our neighborhood. She walked, ran, climbed and swung/spun around on the swings. She was asleep within 15 minutes after returning home. Yay!

In the second picture she is playing in "the house" and she said she was making me food. I asked her what kind of food was she making? and she said "lunch".

Sunny and not-too-cold today. We went on a walk and stopped by a friend's house for some play time. It was good for Juni to run around before her nap.

Breakfast with Santa

We went to our town's "Breakfast with Santa" event this year.  We went with our favorite neighbor friends.  This was the best photo we were able to capture of the little girls with Santa Claus.  The food served wasn't great, but Juni enjoyed playing in the jumpy house that was there, and we were with great company.

The first weekend in December the three of us got dressed up to go see Santa Claus at the mall.

You can see that Juni now knows how to smile on cue.  She's so used to me saying "look at me" when I have a camera, that she even smiles when I say "look at me" because I want her head straight while I brush her hair in the morning.

Sick kid

I got a call at work today from Juni's preschool teacher saying Juni was not feeling well and her temperature was 101. After getting some things settled at work, including asking my boss to handle the meeting that I usually run on Tuesday afternoons, I sped over to pick her up. She was asleep when I got there, and she easily let me carry her to her carseat. This picture is during the drive home. Once home I checked her temperature, gave her Tylenol and soothed her back to sleep in her own bed. Now she is asleep and I ordered a pizza for my lunch.

We created our own carseat/stroller combo. These two baby carrier devices weren't made to fit together but we made it work. It made it so much easier to walk through the airports with a kid and a carseat!
