Oakland zoo

We loved the Oakland zoo today. Highlights: we got a zoo membership so we can revisit throughout the next year. Joey drank water for the first time from a bottle. We liked the siamang which is a type of gibbon or ape. Juni really wanted to see the pot belly pig and so that was our grand finale.

Playground

Juni can do new things at the playground. She can climb a tree and alternate her hands hanging from the monkey bars.

Joey officially full-on crawls now. I don't have a still photo of it yet but I have some video that I can email you if you aren't on FB. He's still the happiest baby I know and such a joy to be around. He seems to enjoy himself at daycare and everyone there comments on how happy he is, smiling all the time. He and his girlfriend McKenzie, who is 2 weeks his senior, crawl around together. She used to like to suck his toes, but now that he's more mobile she probably doesn't get the chance. Gymnastics class

That's Juni in blue with her bottom in the air doing the "bear crawl". She LOVED the gymnastics class. Better than ballet or soccer, she says. This is the only picture I took. I was too busy watching.
