Performer
Juni's graduating preschool class sang 3 songs. Juni was front and center. The teachers complimented her on remembering the words, singing loud enough and using theatrical gestures as directed by the teacher. I am so proud!!!

Pool day
Had a great time at the pool today. I felt so relaxed--like we were on a Hawaiian vacation. The weather was wonderful.
Juniper has improved a lot in her ability to swim and play under water. She was in the kiddie pool for over 3 hours, minus a break to eat a hot dog and fries.
Joey liked being in the water, too. And he was happy to play catch, which is his favorite activity lately. He has great aim and is able to play catch with all of us at home.
I was able to go for a solo swim today. The first lap of freestyle stroke I felt very strong, and I could feel that I am in better physical strength compared to last summer. So the yoga and walking I have been doing have strengthened my endurance. Also I have had more time to heal from the trauma to the body that comes with pregnancy and giving birth.
Joey is 16 months old now. He is walking well and now prefers to walk over crawl. He is saying more words. Lately we have been reading more books with him and he said "book" several times this morning, which was new to me. He has been a little bit more needy lately. He has teethed 2 molars so far. The second one is still working its way through. And he had one cold after another there for a while. He still smiles a lot and is incredibly adorable. So much love I feel for this boy!

Saturday silliness
Is this proper restaurant behavior while waiting for our food to be served? Oops. At least it is a casual place. And it was better than listening to him whine!
I J
Juni drew picture of Iguana and of herself to represent the letters i and j. On display at her school!

Date night
Mommy and Daddy went out for veggie juice (good times!) while the kids spent time at home with our friend. Fun night for all.

Sunday Kite
Juni woke up on Sunday with the idea to go fly a kite in the field next to her school. It is a Barbie Kite and it flies great. Joey slept through the fun. Bob was the best at flying it and he earned the title "Barbie Kite Master". It was a beautiful day and a relaxed weekend.

Dentist
Juni saw the dentist for the first time on Monday. She has been to a dental hygienist before but Monday was first exam by a DSS. He said she has the teeth of a typical 6 year old. She has 3 adult teeth already and he could see n the x-ray that more are getting ready to come through soon. He said her top two front teeth will most likely be missing for school pictures in the fall. She inherits these early growing teeth from her paternal grandmother. He said the good side of that is that if she needs braces she can have them on and off sooner. however he also said that there is a 75% - 80% chance that she will not need braces at all. Her teeth are nicely spaced with enough room for the adult teeth to come in. We both enjoyed the visit very much. It was fun and the staff were great.
