Peed in the potty!

Twice! We bought a little potty for the little girl. It is a Baby Bjorn potty and it was on sale with a matching step stool. Juni was very interested in sitting on the potty when she saw it, and she wanted to take her pants off. So today we (Jen and Grandma who's in town from North Carolina) let her sit on it pantless. And what do you know, she went and peed in it!!! Then later when Daddy was home from work, she wanted to sit on it again and we took her pants off and she peed in it again! Wow, I think she understands what the potty is for. Amazed us, really. We are so proud of her.

Other milestones... she is saying a lot more. She says "one, two, threeee!". She says HI and BYE. She says BALL. And this week, I think more than 3 new teeth have come through her gums. She has been having a hard time sleeping with the teething pain. She's eating well and sometimes she sleeps through the night. She loves going to preschool and playing with the other kids.

Jen and Bob have had several nights out together this week while Grandma took care of Juni. It has been very nice. Tonight we rode our bikes to Fairfax and saw that one of Bob's favorite bands, The Mother Hips, was playing at a bar there and so we saw the show after a yummy dinner. Then rode our bikes back home at midnight. It was fun!

1st day of Preschool

These are pictures that Juni's preschool teacher sent us. It is a Montessori-based preschool for toddlers in a private home nearby, and there are about 10 kids there ages 15 months to 3.5 years. Juniper will be there 4 days a week while we are at work, and she loved it! When we dropped her off in the morning, she wanted to go play (or "get to work" as they call it in Montessori style) right away. She didn't even need some warm-up time like she usually does when we go to a party or a new person's house. She had been there twice before when we were interviewing, and so she remembered what toys were there to work with. I feel so happy for her. She loved interacting with the other kids.
